Albert & Cindy Smith Retail landlords.

To those with interest in or responsibility for commercial property and/or restaurant operations in New York or across the country:

My wife Cindy and I owned and operated the Shortstop Deli in downtown Ithaca, New York for 37 years. In 2015 we retired and successfully negotiated the business sale and lease of the real property to a long-term friend and employee Chuck Dong. Stephen Lipinski Associates were instrumental in helping with that process, and business was strong and steady until 2020, when Covid 19 hit.

Chuck’s hard work and diligence kept the Deli operating and the staff fully employed, but Covid put the Deli into a financial tailspin. Once again, Chuck leveraged the business experience and acumen of Stephen Lipinski Associtates to stabilize the business and create a plan for future strength and success.

While returning to profitability can be a long process, that process begins with the application of sound business principles, exactly that which Stephen Lipinski Associates provides. Manage Prime Costs, understand the customer, measure, manage and recover profit margins, with conversation and coaching. The Deli has experienced both physical and fiscal improvements, the business has returned to a position of financial stability and growth, and the Smith’s and Chuck have greater security with their investments.

Giuseppe Pezzotti, Faculty Colleague

To whom it may concern:

It is my pleasure to share my opinion and a few thoughts-on behalf of Mr. Stephen Lipinski.

Mr. Lipinski was a faculty member and a colleague of mine at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell for a number of years. I always found him to be very knowledgeable, a caring person towards the students, faculty and administration.

I strongly believe that due to his background and growing up in a family of restaurant owners he brought so much value to the Hotel School and Cornell. He was also an ambassador and represented the Hotel School when we established a relationship with the CIA/Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY. Mr. Lipinski was extremely instrumental to maintain this relation during that specific period.

In conclusion, I feel that Mr. Lipinski is extremely professional and totally dedicated in every project, task and any business relationships that he is undertakes . Moreover, I would like to add that Mr. Lipinski, as I said before, is a very caring and giving person with high moral values and standards.

Carl Beck, Beck Hotels

What really set Stephen apart was his comprehensive understanding of both the numbers and the human side of running a restaurant. His revenue management strategies maximized our seat utilization without negatively impacting the customer experience. His support was invaluable in helping us stay profitable in a tough market.
